Daniel Zhang

Daniel Zhang joined Hazelview Investments in May 2026 as Associate, Real Estate Development. In this role, Daniel is responsible for supporting and advancing multifamily residential projects through key phases of the development lifecycle, including entitlement, design development, municipal approvals, consultant coordination, and construction execution.

Daniel has over four years of experience in real estate development, planning, and policy across the Greater Toronto Area. Prior to joining Hazelview, Daniel worked as a Development Associate at Tenblock, where he advanced mixed-use residential communities through complex planning approvals and municipal negotiations. Previously, he served as a Development Associate at SmartCentres REIT, supporting a diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use developments, managing consultant teams, and coordinating planning applications and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours Planning) from the University of Waterloo, with a Specialization with Distinction in Decision Support and Geomatics Information Systems (GIS).
