Muhander Punshi

Muhander Punshi is Chief Financial Officer at Hazelview Properties, where he leads the firm's finance function, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, internal controls, and risk management. He plays a key role in supporting Hazelview's long-term growth by driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and finance transformation initiatives across the business.

With more than 20 years of experience in real estate finance, accounting, and investment management, Muhander brings deep expertise in corporate finance, fund reporting, regulatory compliance, and financial governance. Prior to joining Hazelview in 2016, he held senior finance leadership positions at Timbercreek, where he led financial reporting for multiple public reporting issuers and spearheaded strategic initiatives including mortgage servicing platform implementation, private investment valuation frameworks, and IFRS conversions. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at KPMG, advising clients across the real estate industry, including REITs, mortgage investment corporations, asset managers, and homebuilders.

Muhander is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and is recognized for building high-performing finance teams, leveraging technology to enhance financial operations, and delivering the insights that support informed decision-making and long-term value creation.
