Richard Colburn joined Hazelview Investments in September 2020. Richard is primarily responsible for underwriting, researching and valuing listed real estate companies in the United States and providing formal investment recommendations to the portfolio management team.

Richard has over 8 years’ experience in equity markets and valuations. Prior to joining Hazelview, Richard worked for Sanlam Private Wealth as a Senior Equity Analyst responsible for valuing and analyzing a wide range of public companies and investment opportunities with a primary focus on listed real estate, healthcare and hospitality. Prior to this, he worked for Sustainable Capital as a Junior Fund Analyst.

Richard obtained his Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town and has his CFA designation.
