Station House Toronto Achieves Rainbow Registered Accreditation
Station House Toronto has achieved Rainbow Registered accreditation, recognizing Hazelview’s commitment to creating welcoming and inclusive spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
Opening in 2026, Station House will bring more than 1,100 new rental homes to Toronto’s west end as part of a transformative mixed-use redevelopment designed to foster connectivity, accessibility, and belonging.
Station House Toronto, Hazelview's purpose-built rental community at the landmark intersection of Bloor and Dufferin, has achieved Rainbow Registered accreditation, a national designation from the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce recognizing organizations committed to creating welcoming and inclusive spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
The accreditation reflects Hazelview's ongoing commitment to creating communities where residents, employees, and visitors feel safe, respected, and proud to belong. It also marks another milestone in the organization's broader belonging strategy, which focuses on embedding inclusion into policies, training, leadership practices, and the resident experience.
Station House Toronto is Hazelview’s ninth residential rental community to achieve Rainbow Registered accreditation, reinforcing the organization’s position as a leader in inclusive rental housing. Including its residential communities and corporate offices, Hazelview has successfully achieved Rainbow Registered accreditation at 11 locations across Canada.
This latest accreditation builds on Hazelview's longstanding commitment to inclusion. Hazelview made history in 2025 with the opening of Canada’s first Rainbow Registered residential rental building, setting a new benchmark for inclusion in the rental housing sector.
Recognition Through Action
Rainbow Registered accreditation is awarded following an independent assessment of an organization's policies, training, leadership commitment, and organizational culture. Station House Toronto received the accreditation in recognition of Hazelview's ongoing efforts to foster inclusive communities through comprehensive employee training, inclusive policies and procedures, leadership accountability, and meaningful engagement with residents, community organizations, and local stakeholders.
The assessment recognized Hazelview's commitment to continuous improvement, the consistent implementation of inclusive practices, and its efforts to create welcoming environments for both residents and employees. The assessor also highlighted Hazelview's strong focus on accountability, education, and ensuring inclusion is embedded consistently across its communities.
