Joe Mazzaco joined Hazelview’s Investment Committee in 2024 and brings over 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. His background includes senior roles in private equity, investment banking, appraisal, and information services, as well as board and investment committee leadership.

Joe previously served as Executive Managing Director, Partner, and Co‑Head of Investments at KingSett Capital, where he led the sourcing, structuring, and negotiation of acquisitions, financings, and dispositions across multiple asset classes in Canada. He also acted as Chief Risk Officer for KingSett’s mortgage lending business.

Earlier in his career, Joe worked in CIBC World Markets’ Real Estate Investment Banking group, overseeing due diligence and underwriting on billions of dollars of North American real estate and contributing to mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, advisory work, and brokerage.

Joe currently serves on the boards of several private real estate ventures across various strategies and asset classes, including prop‑tech. He holds an honours degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA specializing in Real Property Development from the Schulich School of Business. He is also a founding member of St. Michael’s Hospital’s Research Innovation Council.
