Heron Gate 5 – Phase 1 is set to bring much-needed purpose-built rental housing to Ottawa, delivering a mix of modern residences, community-focused amenities, and enhanced public spaces. As part of the Heron Gate Master Plan, this development will introduce 307 new rental units to a well-connected neighbourhood, designed with sustainability, livability, and community engagement in mind.
A community-focused approach
Heron Gate 5 – Phase 1 is designed to enhance public spaces and community connectivity, featuring:
- 30 affordable rental units, in alignment with the City of Ottawa’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
- A new public park, to be conveyed to the City in future phases of the master plan
- Publicly Accessible Private Space (POPS) adjacent to the site, fostering greater community interaction
- Improved pedestrian and vehicular circulation, including a new private road for public access within the Heron Gate Master Plan
